Obituary of Shirley Ann Cook

Shirley Ann Cook, 69, of Dorchester, ON passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Parkwood Hospital in London surrounded by her family after a long struggle with cancer.

Born in Stratford, ON on March 11, 1950, she was the daughter of Edwin and Myrtle Bennewies.  She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Ken Cook, her sons Shane (Jillian) and Kyle (Justine), her brother Doug (Jocelyn) and her grandsons Charlie and Levi.

Never one to want credit or recognition, Shirley was always willing to help in any situation.  Shirley worked for five years for Kroehler's in Stratford and then for 34 years at General Motors in London.

She was a Lutheran and a beautiful person inside and out.

She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Thursday, June 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. at First St. John Lutheran Church in Seebach Hill (2 km. west of Sebringville).
