Sending you all our condolences. Our "Nana Doo Doo" loved to have a good time and we were fortunate to meet her over the back fence and have lots of fun times together. We have lots of wonderful memories of her and I'm sure you will all treasure yours.

I too met Ivey on a regular basis at Glendale as I spend about 4 days a week with my mom Maria. Ivey always stopped by whenever she saw us and tried to get my mom to smile. I found Ivey sharp in her observances of her home at Westminster and she was often very funny those observances. She always had the greatest outfits and really neat hats. She was a special person that I always tried to say "hello" to. Ivey had a great smile and I am sad to hear she has gone to a greater place in the next world. I will miss her and was not able to say my condolences to the family who were there several days ago. I also regret no saying good bye to Ivey in her last few days of life. Her sight was poor towards the end but as soon as I said who I was she always knew why I was there. Ivey may your smile and new vision be your guiding light to those who you are now meeting.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ivey when my mother entered Glendale 2 years ago. Ivey was one of my first "friends" at Glendale, where I routinely spend 3 days a week with my mom. She was always a pleasure to talk with and often had a smile and laugh to share. She always seemed to stop to say hi to my mom, who has dementia and is in a wheelchair and is mostly non-verbal. Ivey always spoke very kindly and with warmth and affection to my mother, for which I was very grateful. I am sorry that I did not get a chance to say good-bye to Ivey. Ivey was a very special person and I will miss her presence at Glendale. May she now fly high and free.
