Obituary of George Ronald Garbett

Peacefully surrounded by his family at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, London on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

George R. Garbett of Dorchester in his 85th year.

Husband of the late Audrey M. (Hackett) Garbett (2003).

Loving father of Nicola Bankes (husband Jim) of Dorchester.

Devoted granddad of Alex Bankes and Stephanie Bankes both of Dorchester.

Brother of Shirley Payne (husband Maurice) in England.

Dear friend of Christine Koolen of Dorchester.

Sadly missed by many special friends and extended family in both England and Canada.

George was a long time volunteer at the V.O.N. Dorchester Adult Program.

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of C.C.T.C. Unit at Victoria Hospital who made George's last days more comfortable.

Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester (Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.) where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m.

Cremation with interment of Cremated Remains Dorchester Union Cemetery.
