I am so very sorry to hear of Edwin's passing. I know that he has had a very rough go of things for the past several years, and unfortunately I have been unable to visit with him and Brenda. I have so many fond memories, some of which I've lost, of my visits and talks with Edwin, and visits to their house while Beatrice was still at home, as well as in the hospital and at Brenda's home. I will miss his smile, sense of humour and his intense love of family.
Edwin often spoke of his youth on the east coast, working with family, travelling into the bush and the many activities, challenges, and shenanigans that they would get up to. After Beatrice passed and he was suffering from several issues, I remember his determination to try to remember, to speak, and to stand to walk. I truly liked and admired Edwin and your whole family, and send you my deepest condolences. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend the visitation owing to my own health restrictions.
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers, and say a special prayer for Edwin and Beatrice, reunited with Colin with God.
