Peacefully at Terrace Lodge in Aylmer, in his 87th year.  Beloved husband of Johanna (Pikkemaat) and sadly missed father of Christine (Andrew) Brown, Paul (Megan), Marcel (Stephanie) and Patrick (1985).  Cherished Opa of Amelia, Ethan, Hannah, Mariah and Morgan Brown; Olivia, Abigail and Calista Meyer; and Patrick Meyer.  Dear brother of Truus Wenniger, Hein (Sini) Meijer, Marie (Henk)TerHaar and Anton (Agnes) Meijer; and brother-in-law of Sini Pikkemaat, all from the Netherlands.  Predeceased by his parents Gesina (Ensink) and Gerard Meijer; siblings Gerard (Truus) Meijer, Annie (Bernard) Weersink, Lies (Jan) Schutte; sister and brother-in-laws Gerard Wenniger, Riek (Bernard) Lohuis, Mary (Frank) Lohuis, Sini (Bernard) Oude Luttikhuis, Femie Pikkemaat, Gerrit Pikkemaat, Stein (Gerard) Rolink.  Remembered by many nieces and nephews in Holland and Canada. Born in Tubbergen (Twente, Overjiessel), Bernard emigrated from the Netherlands in 1956. A gentle man with a strong faith and deep commitment for family and community, Bernard achieved his goal of being a successful dairy farmer.  He was hard working but always made time for a cup of coffee with friends or a game of cards. Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Rd., Dorchester on Tuesday September 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with prayers at 6:30 pm at the Funeral Home.  Funeral mass at Mary Immaculate Parish, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Wednesday September 6 at 11 am. Interment at St Peter's Cemetery, London.
