Suddenly in his 66th year, John Atkinson of London formerly of Dorchester. Deeply missed by his beloved children Sean and Amanda and their mother Debbie Atkinson their spouses, Tyler and Shannon. Cherished Grandpa to Daxyn, Emmett and a very proud Grandpa of a new grandchild-to-be. Beloved brother of Nancy Ferris of Hepworth and Anne Kurmey (Wayne) of Bolton. Also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews. Dear Son of Betty and Burton Atkinson. John was an electrician for 33 years and was a proud member of the local IBEW 120. He was also an avid drag racer and car fanatic, spending over 25 years drag racing at Sparta Speedway. Survived by his beloved 1971 Plymouth Duster “WE BADD” - Friends will be received for visitation at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Thursday, August 18th from 5-8pm with a service to take place on Friday at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lupus Canada.
