Obituary of Johanna (Joanne) Maria Van Hout

Joanne (Johanna) Marie Van Hout nee Dewild passed away peacefully March 18, 2023 in her 85th year. Joanne was predeceased by her first husband Cornelius Van Hout (1995) and second husband Theo Jilissen (2022). Mother of Anita Crandall (Gary) of Belmont, Janet Van Hout (Rachel) of London, “Bill” William Van Hout (Sharron) of Brampton, and Andrew Van Hout (Vicki) of London. Loving Oma of Daniel Crandall (Stefanie), Robert Crandall (Shannon), Jeremy Crandall (Jessica); Cory Wouters, Jamie Wouters; Isobel Van Hout, Jacob Van Hout, Cornelia Van Hout; Christopher Van Baardwyk, Kenneth Van Baardwyk, and Amanda Van Hout (2017). Also cherished by great-grandchildren Benjamin, Audrey, Trent, Tommy, Trevor, Shea; Kennedy, Chevy, Harper, Cohen, and Kinsley. She is survived by her younger sister, Martha (Netherlands) and older brother, John (Canada). Predeceased by her parents Adrianus and Antonetta Dewild, sisters Marie and Nel, brothers Ben, Wim, Gerrit and Theo. Also, fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands. Joanne immigrated to Canada with her first husband from The Netherlands in 1960 spending the rest of her life as a Canadian citizen. Her devotion to her family was unwavering and she will be very much missed. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester. Visitation Wednesday March 22 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral will take place Friday March 24 at Mary Immaculate Parish at 1980 Trafalgar St. London at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
