Ruth and family It truly broke my heart when Carolin called to tell us of the passing of her Dad. Pam and I have been friends with George, Ruthy and family for over 40 years. I first met George at Hedley's where we worked together for 3 years. George and I played ball at Slow Pitch City and attended Peterbilt Truck shows together. He was a kind, smart and extremely generous man. He was my good friend and my partner. Our deepest sympathy to Ruth and his family. We were very sorry that we could not attend George's funeral.

Brother George
So many years of wonderful memories.
More then forty years working side by side.
Driving truck all through the day then making repairs so we could do the job again the next day.
Then after the trucking being the king pin in the shop.
George was always a very special man.
His temperament was always so calm..
Address the situation and fix it in the best way possible….and he always did.
You will be greatly missed by us all.
Hedley

I have had the pleasure of working with George since I was a young child. He was always knowledgeable, patient and kind in all he did.
He would always teach me or anyone around an easier, calmer and sometimes more creative way to achieve what needed to be done.
They say it takes a community to raise a child and George was a strong part of my community as an uncle, father figure and friend.
His kindness ,giving nature and smile will be truly missed by myself and many others

What can I say…. I have the best in-laws anyone could ever hope for, and I know I have the BEST father in law in the world!!
When I think of my “father” in law, I have many, many fond memories. But in each situation….. there he is…. doing whatever was happening at the moment, but always with a smile….a smile that spoke the thousand words he didn’t have to say. A smile that may have said, “hello”, “how can I help”, “happy to be here” and even “I love you”.
I have but one wish:
Today, when you pause to think of a fond memory with George, I don’t want you to just “think” of him. I would like you to do it George’s way:
-with a smile-
Thank you for always being there.
I love you.
Kim

Reflecting on my father’s passing:
I can not help but realize how he has been there at every part of my life. When I was growing up he showed us how to be hard working, honest and proud of what you do.
He helped me fix my first car, first house and I was fortunate enough to work side by side with him, for 25 years to learn my trade. He would never hesitate to give his time or knowledge.
Through it all, no matter what it was, he was always there to teach, to guide, and to support me.
For the first time in my life I don’t have my true hero to guide me through this new situation and I feel a great sense of loss.
To my best friend, my guiding compass….. my father,
I miss you Dad.
Love Carleton.
