Judith Gertrud Breuer

Date of Death:  March 3, 2018 (London, Ontario)

Only one week after celebrating her 90th birthday, Judith Gertrud Breuer of Dorchester passed away peacefully embraced by her two daughters, Eva-Maria O'Sullivan and Julie Piciga at 3 o'clock in the morning at the Palliative Care Unit of Victoria Hospital, only hours after her arrival.

She had endured a number of serious illnesses and had been so very brave over the years.

An immigrant from Germany in 1966, Judith had always been a very dedicated and hard worker.  She loved birds, dogs, flowers and keeping a cozy home where pets and plants thrived.  During the years of failing health,Judith was lovingly cared for at home by her daughter Julie and son-in-law Gordon Piciga.  She will be missed tremendously by her whole family and all who kinew and cared for her: Daughter Eva-Maria and Paul O'Sullivan, granddaughters Sarah and Natascha with fiance Du Barrington, sister Barbara and husband Helmut Fandrich, their daughter Ursula and son Andreas and their families, Inge and Herbert and families as well as several relatives in Germany.

We wish to thank all the PSW's and Nurses who gave Mom such tender care during her illness, as they became just like family during this difficult time.  Many thanks also to the Medical Staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital , whose sensitivity and gentleness towards our Mom in jher last hours were exemplary. 

In lieu of flowers, any donations to the International Fund for Animal Welfare or St. Peter's Anglican Church, Dorchester are gratefully accepted.

Friends will be received at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 4101 Catherine Street, Dorchester (Thursday, March 8 - 2 hours prior to service - 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.) where the funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.

Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery.
