Thinking of all the members of the Lewis family as you grieve the loss of Uncle Gordon. He was a kind and gentle soul who will be sorely missed by his wife Betty and his children and their families. Some of my fondest memories of times with the extended Reading family were family picnics and visits to Cousin Gordon’s “little farm” by the river. Gordon was especially kind to our parents Lysle and Helen while they lived in Dorchester. His consideration of them will not be forgotten. May your fond memories of Gordon carry you through your time of grief.

My deepest condolences to you Betty and your family. Spring always reminds me of collecting sap in the Sugar bush with Gord and my Dad Len Freeman. Your place was our destination when Dad would walk us down with our horse as well. Take care.

We send our deepest sympathies to all the Lewis family at this sad time. Gord and Betty have been our next door neighbors for 20 plus years and a better neighbor you could not find. A better man would be hard to find as well. Gord was such a thoughtful and kind person to all of our family. Absolute gentleman who will be very fondly and frequently remembered. We will miss him dearly.

To my Lewis cousins: from Shelley (Reading) McKeen
Sending heartfelt sympathy to the Gordon Lewis family. Betty I am so sorry for your loss of Gord. I remember the many fun times our families enjoyed together. The Reading family picnic and Gord’s yearly corn roasts down by the river in your backyard. My father Uncle Lysle Reading also held Gordon in a special spot in his heart. Gordon was always there when Dad needed help around his yard trimming trees when they got too big for Dad to deal with. Plus my brother Leslie was always close to Ron and Randy. Keep your memories close as you mourn the loss of your Dad. He was a kind and gentle soul.

I would like to extend my condolences to the whole Lewis family on the passing of Gord. He was a wonderful neighbor when we still lived in Dorchester. I still remember him taking the time to plow out our laneway when the snow was really heavy. He was the kind of man that would do anything for anyone. He will be sorely missed.
