Obituary of Jorg Ernst Reiche

With great sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, Jorg Ernst Reiche. Jorg left us unexpectedly and far too soon on Sunday, December 15, with his devoted wife by his side. As a father, Jorg instilled in his children a strong work ethic, the importance of putting family first, and a deep love for bringing people together. He was a man whose joy was found in the company of those he loved, especially around the table. Jorg is survived by his one true love, Delia, and their three children: Lazaro (Parmida), Julian (Miriam), and Ethan (Emily). He will forever be cherished as Opa to his grandchildren, Roman and Estelle. He is also survived by his siblings-in-law, Dominic Santini (Melody), Maria McNaughton (Steven), Pet Santini (David), Frank Santini (Anna). Nieces and nephews: Victor Santini, Jenny Atchison (Jeff), Adam McNaughton (Stephanie), Nathan Santini (Cheryl), Drew Santini (Spencer), Yva Santini, and Tahra Santini. He was a proud great-uncle to Austin, Michael, Raiden, Will, Sam, Ella, Henry, Luca, and Bella. Jorg leaves behind his father, Winfried Reiche, and his sister, Heike Reiche, as well as nieces and nephews, Jasmine Vitello (Darrell), Pierson Grasby, and Liam McCann. He was predeceased by his mother, Edda Reiche, in 2023, and his father-in-law, Vittorio Santini, in 2024. Jorg was a butcher by trade, but his true passion was gardening. His gardens, a testament to his care and dedication, were the envy of all who visited. Another passion of his was home building, where his hands crafted both houses and lasting memories. Entertaining his family and friends was truly a joy to him, carnivores delighted in his many sumptuous meat courses. Jorg’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him! Friends will be received at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Wednesday, December 18,2024 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Parish, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Thursday, December 19,2024 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions to the Municipality of Thames Centre Volunteer Fire Department (Dorchester Station), 4305 Hamilton Road, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G3 or to the Dorchester Food Bank, c/o 233 Minnie Street, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G0 would be appreciated.
