Q: What will you never forget about Ernest?
A: Ernie designed the DCC entrance columns and he was adamant that they needed to have glass lights in the shape of crosses. That was all his design idea. There were no blueprints and I followed Ernie’s lead in design allowing me to finish the masonry. The outcome was absolutely stunning and very rewarding. I got to know Ernie even better recognizing very quickly that he was a man of intelligence and patience, a man that could lead and be led.

Ernie was a great guy and a gentleman. We at East Pasco Habitat loved to see him arrive each winter and sad to see him go in the spring. Ernie helped more people by just being himself than the homes he helped build We will miss you Sir! See you on the other side

Ernie was a dear friend to all of our family. We have many fond memories of Ernie. Once he rode
his bike out to Braeside to give our youngest son an afternoon he still remembers- exploring the Paris countryside on the bike leaving a "popcorn trail" on the then - new technology of GPS. He was always positive and encouraging of our teenagers as they figured themselves out. I always knew if I needed tech or engineering assistance with a project- especially if it was for church- Ernie was enthusiastically available. We loved working with Ernie on the DCC construction site. He was a faithful and devoted servant of the Lord who readily shared his testimony.
