I was very saddened to here of the loss of Mr. Watts. Mr. Watts was my teacher for grade 7&8 at Willowdale School in the early 80’s. He was the best teacher I had and he spent the time to teach me archeology on his own time. I did make a point to see him a few years back to thank him for all he did for me, which was fulfilling. It’s so sad of his passing, but will I will never forget the faund memories we had together.

I first met Ron when I first started dating Helen (Donna Jean's sister) in 1961. We shared a common interest in everything historical and I relished his insight and knowledge in this regard. We had many memorable discussions and I have a couple of items he presented me with from that era and I cherish their sentimental value.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to Judy and family and Ron's family. Hugs from the Yukon Secord clan. Ron visited us in the Yukon and really enjoyed his time here. His favourite was using his pioneer skills in a cabin on Sandy's property. He embraced the task. He also explored some of the First Nations culture here and compared it to the history and information he knew from his Ontario explorations.

RIP Sgt Ron. Had the pleasure of serving with Ron as members of the First Hussars in the 60's and 70's. That association extended past the Regiment over later years. Ron was great man, involved with 1H Association, Museum and many other organizations throughout his teaching career and beyond. The kind of guy you could always count on.
You will be missed my friend

Ron and I have been friends for more that 50 years. I first met Ron in 1967 in the First Hussars and over the years we shared many experiences and memories, in the First Hussars and out. In the early years I watched his children grow up and he watched mine. Ron and I, for many years exchanged a Christmas card and a box of chocolates.
Susan and I will miss Ron very, very much.
