Obituary of Jacob Rimmelzwaan

Passed away peacefully at Dearness Home, London on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Jacob (Koos) Rimmelzwaan in his 97th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years Marion (Riet) (Kerkvliet) Rimmelzwaan (2013).

Father of John Peterson, Maureen and Don Cunliffe, Marlene and the late Bill VandenBoomen, Jim and Susan Rimmelzwaan.

Grandfather to Debra (Ian McGregor), Carollyn (Matt Currie), Benjamin (Marieve Gagnon), Stephanie, Michael, Jeff (Amanda), Rick, Rachelle, Steven (Katie), Matthew, Mark, Justin and Emily.

Great Grandfather to Grace, Alex, Jean, Clare, Alison, Victor, Caleb, Jack and Ava.

Brother in law of Ann and the late Cornelius Kerkvliet.

Also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, family in Holland and many good friends.

Proud Canadians, he and Marion married in 1952 and immigrated to Canada where they started growing a farm family in the Belmont area.

The family will receive friends and family at the Bieman Funeral Home, 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester on Thursday, August 15 from 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, 855 Jalna Boulevard, London on Friday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m.

Following the Funeral Mass, a reception will be held at St. Justin's Parish Hall.

Private family interment White Oak Cemetery.
